He hears your frustrations.

Habakkuk 1:2–4

How long, Lord, must I call for help,
but you do not listen? — Or cry out to you, “Violence!” but you do not save. Why do you make me look at injustice? Why do you tolerate wrongdoing? Destruction and violence are before me; there is strife, and conflict abounds.
Therefore the law is paralyzed, and justice never prevails. The wicked hem in the righteous, so that justice is perverted.

When the prophet Habakkuk looked at the world around him, it felt like God wasn't in control. Can you blame him for sounding frustrated with God?

It isn't wrong to voice your frustration with sin and evil in this world to God. He sees it too.

And when it feels he doesn't hear you, he's still listening attentively.

He has a plan. Your honest cries reach Him, and His plan is unfolding even when you can't see it.

When have you felt guilty for questioning God? Why is it comforting to know God listens to your difficulties too?

Read the context The Israelites chased after everything but God. But no matter how far away they walked, God was ready to welcome them back in his mercy. Do you ever feel like that distance...

2 Cor. 2:10–11 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes. Read the context If you can't make an important meeting, you might send a proxy — someone to speak for you. Forgiveness is never “just between you and them.” Every time you forgive, you step into a sacred role—you speak as Christ Himself. You aren’t just...
