Hidden in Christ.

Colossians 3:1–4

Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things. For you died, and your life is now hidden with Christ in God. When Christ, who is your life, appears, then you also will appear with him in glory.

Every Easter, my dad would hide our baskets so well we’d often give up and ask for help. Search all you want, they couldn't be found.

In a world that shakes your faith and rattles your confidence in God, you have a safe place. Your life is hidden with Christ in God—safe, secure, and protected.

When Christ appears, the life you have through his resurrection will be seen fully.

What rattles your confidence in God most easily? What comfort do you find in Christ holding your life?

The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. Read the context As the coroner exits the scene of...

Psalm 16:9–11 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; — my body also will rest secure, because you will not abandon me to the realm of the dead, — nor will you let your faithful one see decay. You make known to me the path of life; — you will fill me with joy in your presence, — with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Read the context Last week's veggies start wilting in the fridge drawer unused. Your deck boards start to rot from the rain. Decay seems inevitable. Long before...
