Matthew 26:6โ€“13

While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.

When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. โ€œWhy this waste?โ€ they asked. โ€œThis perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.โ€

Aware of this, Jesus said to them, โ€œWhy are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.โ€

Why do you hesitate to give what you have to God? How does the magnitude of Jesus' gift change your perspective on giving?

Matthew 21:1โ€“11 As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, โ€œGo to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.โ€ This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: โ€œSay to Daughter Zion, โ€˜See, your king comes to you, gentle and...
