It isn't about feeling sad enough.

2 Cor 7:10

Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death.

Very few people prefer to make someone else sad. So why should we talk about rebellion and sin?

This isn't sorrow for the sake of just feeling bad enough. The purpose of repentance is to point back to the cross.

Godly sorrow leads us again to the source of our salvation. Sorrow over sin doesn't remain, instead it leads to greater joy.

When have you felt reluctance to admit your guilt or sin? How is the cross your remedy?
