Just a gardener.

1 Cor 3:5–11

What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe—as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow. So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The one who plants and the one who waters have one purpose, and they will each be rewarded according to their own labor. For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building.

Even the best gardener needs the help of the elements to make something grow. The Apostle Paul wants you to remember something... he's merely a gardener. Whether it was him, Apollos, anyone... it wasn't their work that mattered. God caused that faith to grow.

Faithful work sharing God's word means trusting Him with the results. You may never see the result of the time you spent bringing someone to Jesus. So sow, water, cultivate, encourage, share Jesus without hesitation! The One who makes things grow will take care of the rest.

Where are you uniquely positioned to plant or water? (To share the gospel with someone you know?)

Isaiah 55:10–11 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earthand making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater,so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. Read the context "Pastor... will you pray for rain?" The earnest farmer makes his request because he can't create rain... that his crops...

Matthew 13:23 But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.” Read the context I'm currently working on developing my green thumb. Up til now, most things I plant die. I conveniently blame the elements. God has a plan for the seed of your faith. He's an expert gardener. He plants you in his word and strengthens you. Grow your roots deeper in his promises of...

Psalm 65 You care for the land and water it; you enrich it abundantly. The streams of God are filled with water to provide the people with grain, for so you have ordained it. You drench its furrows and level its ridges; you soften it with showers and bless its crops. You crown the year with your bounty, and your carts overflow with abundance. The grasslands of the wilderness overflow; the hills are clothed with gladness. Read the context "Knee high by the 4th of July." I'm no farmer, but just...
