Promised to a King long ago.



Luke 1:68–70

“Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel, — because he has come to his people and redeemed them.

He has raised up a horn of salvation for us — in the house of his servant David (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago).

Are you patient leading up to Christmas? It's hard to be. You're looking forward to gifts, travel, visitors, rest... But it's always worth the wait.

King David lived 1000 years before Zechariah — John's father. God's people had waited for centuries.

But the greatest gift — the gift of Salvation — would be worth the wait.

What David looked forward to, you now see: Redemption in Jesus Christ.
