Shared problem, single solution.

Romans 3:21–24

But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.

The differences between any two people are stark — quirks, appearances, opinions.

But everyone shares one problem:

You can't obey God's law. You fall short of his standard.

The solution isn't a stronger will or a retry... it's a solution that comes from outside of yourself.

Jesus Christ is the only solution for sin. Rest confidently in his life and death on your behalf.

Why is it freeing to know that the Christian faith is about what's been done for you?

They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Read the context What's the largest crowd you've been a part of: A sold out concert? A packed stadium? The...

Hebrews 12:1–2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. Read the context It's easier to run when other people are running with you. The...
