Daniel 7:13–14

“In my vision at night I looked, and there before me was one like a son of man, coming with the clouds of heaven. He approached the Ancient of Days and was led into his presence. He was given authority, glory and sovereign power; all nations and peoples of every language worshiped him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion that will not pass away, and his kingdom is one that will never be destroyed.

The best movies don't spoil the ending. But if it's your life, you'd want to know what's next.

Scripture tells the story of this world and it's Savior, and it always spoils the ending. 600 years before Jesus walked on the earth, the Prophet Daniel saw Jesus as a victorious king ruling over everything in heaven.

I need to spoil the ending for you too: No matter your struggle, sin, or fear... Jesus is in control.

And one day he will make this all new.

How would you describe the peace you have knowing that what happens at the end of your life has already been spoiled?

Luke 24:50–53 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God. Read the context You can't see him, but can you picture that moment? On top of a hill, perhaps a sunny day. Hands lifted... and then he's gone... ascended into heaven. But as he goes, he's still...

Acts 1:10–11 They were looking intently up into the sky as he was going, when suddenly two men dressed in white stood beside them. “Men of Galilee,” they said, “why do you stand here looking into the sky? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come back in the same way you have seen him go into heaven.” Read the context It's not polite to stare. Kids get called out for gawking at something. So do these disciples. They're looking up toward where Jesus went thinking,...

Eph. 1:18–21 I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people, and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the...
