Take him at his word.

John 4:49-51

The royal official said, “Sir, come down before my child dies.”

“Go,” Jesus replied, “your son will live.”

The man took Jesus at his word and departed. While he was still on the way, his servants met him with the news that his boy was living.

The official had no immediate proof that his son was healed. He'd have to travel all the way home to see his child.

But he took Jesus at his word.

While you wait to see your Savior, you hang on to his words. That's faith.

And like that father, you won't be disappointed.

God is faithful with every promise he makes in his word.

What promises of God do you have to trust without immediate proof? What does this story teach you about God's faithfulness?
