The charges don't stick.

Romans 8:32–34

He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies.
Who then is the one who condemns? No one. Christ Jesus who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us.

The lawyer was notorious. No matter the charges thrown at his client, he'd make sure they didn't stick.

The devil accuses you. Your own thoughts might too. But the charges don’t stick.

Jesus—crucified, risen, and now interceding—stands as your defender. He took the punishment, silenced the accuser, and speaks for you even now.

You’re not condemned. You’re justified. The cross settled it. The resurrection sealed it. You’re safe in the courtroom of God.

What accusations weigh on your heart most often? What comfort do you find in having a defender?
