The rejected thing is chosen.

Acts 4:11–12

Jesus is
“‘the stone you builders rejected,
which has become the cornerstone.’

Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved.”

You can buy any piece of lumber in the store. Would you take the one that looks bent?

In unbelief, the cross looks like a bad foundation. Why build your life on an ugly story of a man who died?

But God used what looked rejected to build his church upon. The cross is the only way to God.

The stone the world threw away is the only thing worth building on.

What have you been building your life upon, and how is it holding up?

1 Peter 3:21–22 This water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God.
