They're celebrating in heaven.

Luke 15:8–10

Or suppose a woman has ten silver coins and loses one. Doesn’t she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it? And when she finds it, she calls her friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost coin.’ In the same way, I tell you, there is rejoicing in the presence of the angels of God over one sinner who repents.”

When I worked at a bank, a man once brought in the wallet he had lost in a field five years earlier. He was pumped—it was still full of cash.

When you find something valuable you lost, it’s worth celebrating.

You are worth far more to your God than all the riches of this world. When you confess your sins and turn to him, he can’t help but celebrate.

There’s a party in heaven for each of God’s lost children who are found.

When have you felt too lost in your sins to be found? What comfort do you find in knowing God celebrates finding you?
