Wait for the crown.

2 Timothy 4:6–8

For I am already being poured out like a drink offering, and the time for my departure is near. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for his appearing.

Sitting in a jail cell, awaiting his death, Paul could easily loathe his reality or regret his preaching. He doesn't.

Instead, he sees the persecution he faces in view of heaven — a crown is waiting.

Sharing God's word... living your faith... it won't always be easy. But that's ok! Jesus already faced the darkness for you on the cross.

The pressure you face now can fix your eyes on the crown: heaven awaits.
