Your Savior is light.

Isaiah 60:1–3

Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.

See, darkness covers the earth — and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you — and his glory appears over you.

Nations will come to your light, — and kings to the brightness of your dawn.

The neon sign glows outside the restaurant — OPEN. The bright sign brings people in from all over.

A literal light led Magi to meet the Savior. And he still leads with his light — through the Word that reveals Jesus.

As long as the light of the Gospel is shining bright, Jesus is leading people to his mercy and love.

Walk toward your Savior's light and love!

When has God's Word drawn you to Jesus recently? What did you discover about him?

Matthew 2:9–11 The star they had seen when it rose went ahead of them until it stopped over the place where the child was. When they saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Read the context A star guides Magi from far away to greet the king. Psalm 72:10–13 May the kings of Tarshish and of distant shores bring tribute to him. May the kings of Sheba and Seba present him gifts. May all kings bow down to him and all nations serve him. For he will deliver the needy who cry out, the afflicted who have no one to help. He will take pity on the weak and the needy and save the needy from death. Read the context How did you handle the stress of Christmas travel? Even with modern convenience, the stress is real. Rewind thousands of years....
