A binding promise.

Psalm 89:1–4

I will sing of the Lord’s great love forever; with my mouth I will make your faithfulness known through all generations.

I will declare that your love stands firm forever, that you have established your faithfulness in heaven itself.
You said, “I have made a covenant with my chosen one, I have sworn to David my servant, ‘I will establish your line forever and make your throne firm through all generations.’”

What contracts are hardest to break? A 12-month lease? A loan for something that won't sell? Even the most solid agreements get broken.

But not God's contracts.

His love for you is an agreement as solid as the earth itself... He created it after all. His promise to send a Savior was never in doubt.

Instead, after generations of waiting his love took human flesh and lived with us.

Jesus is God's love with us.

When have you doubted God's promises to you? What does Jesus' birth prove about God's faithfulness?
