A forehead of flint.

Ezekiel 3:7–9

But the people of Israel are not willing to listen to you because they are not willing to listen to me, for all the Israelites are hardened and obstinate. But I will make you as unyielding and hardened as they are. I will make your forehead like the hardest stone, harder than flint. Do not be afraid of them or terrified by them, though they are a rebellious people.”

God gave Ezekiel a difficult job. Even before he began, God told him the people would reject the message.

But God also promised that their rejection would bounce right off him.

Not everyone will listen when you share God’s Word. But fear isn't a good enough reason to stay silent.

The same God who strengthened Ezekiel will also stand with you and make you strong.

You don’t go alone.

What fears keep you from sharing God's word? What is one way you could keep God's promise to stand with you in mind this week?

Phil. 3:20–21 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body. Read the context On the 4th of July we celebrate freedom with parades, BBQs, and fireworks. It's a privilege to live in a nation that allows us great freedom. But Paul reminds us that our ultimate citizenship is in heaven. Earthly...

1 Cor. 2:14–16 The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. The person with the Spirit makes judgments about all things, but such a person is not subject to merely human judgments, for,“Who has known the mind of the Lord so as to instruct him?”But we have the mind of Christ. Read the context God's word is truth. It proclaims his plan and...
