Come see for yourself.

John 1:45–46

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.

“Come and see,” said Philip.

Nathanael didn't expect a backhills town like Nazareth to be the place his Savior would come from.

Philip doesn't try to convince him. Instead he gives him an invitation:

Come and see for yourself.

Do you know someone who wonders how you can find peace in an unlikely place like God's word?

Don't try to convince them yourselves... Instead invite them:

Come and see Jesus for yourself!

Who might you invite to come and see Jesus like Philip? What is one way you could invite them to learn about their Savior?

Ezekiel 34:15–16 I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord. I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. Read the context God's people were led astray by terrible leaders and wicked kings. They needed a reset. The modern voices that call for attention are hardly better. You need someone to lead you back to the...

1 Peter 2:23–25 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. Read the context Sheep go astray very easily. In a wide-open field,...
