Come see for yourself.

John 1:45–46

Philip found Nathanael and told him, “We have found the one Moses wrote about in the Law, and about whom the prophets also wrote—Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.”

“Nazareth! Can anything good come from there?” Nathanael asked.

“Come and see,” said Philip.

Nathanael didn't expect a backhills town like Nazareth to be the place his Savior would come from.

Philip doesn't try to convince him. Instead he gives him an invitation:

Come and see for yourself.

Do you know someone who wonders how you can find peace in an unlikely place like God's word?

Don't try to convince them yourselves... Instead invite them:

Come and see Jesus for yourself!

Who might you invite to come and see Jesus like Philip? What is one way you could invite them to learn about their Savior?

Psalm 96 Ascribe to the Lord, all you families of nations, ascribe to the Lord glory and strength. Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; — bring an offering and come into his courts. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness; — tremble before him, all the earth. Say among the nations, “The Lord reigns.” The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; — he will judge the peoples with equity. Read the context It's the USA's 250th birthday. Romans 12:2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. By the end your arm is shaking from the effort. You can't give in. The way the Christian views things is like a wrestling match against the world. Don't give in. Daniel 3:17–18 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” Read the context "Even if he does not..." Three men faced death, but their allegiance to God wasn't contingent. They simply trusted. I often set up guard rails for serving the Lord — "If he gives me...
