Compassion for the struggling.

Deut. 10:18-21

He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt. Fear the Lord your God and serve him. Hold fast to him and take your oaths in his name. He is the one you praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.

Not everyone can boast living in a stable nation or home. God has a close eye on those who struggle.

The life of a Christian is not so unlike the refugee. This world is not your permanent home. Like the Israelites waited and wander... you wait too.

Whether you view yourself as safe and secure or in need of help, the Lord sees you and has compassion. Now he calls for you to be compassionate too.

Who do you know that needs the compassion God describes here?
