He wouldn't change his diet?

Daniel 1:8, 12–13

But Daniel resolved not to defile himself with the royal food and wine, and he asked the chief official for permission not to defile himself this way.

“Please test your servants for ten days: Give us nothing but vegetables to eat and water to drink. Then compare our appearance with that of the young men who eat the royal food, and treat your servants in accordance with what you see.”

The name change didn't bother Daniel, but the food did. Why? Because this wasn't about "culture." To eat something unclean would be sin.

Where's your line between "I don't like this" and "this is wrong"?

Daniel's strength wasn't his healthy look at the end of ten days. It was a God who stayed good before Daniel knew the outcome.

God stands with you when you have to say "no". He stands to forgive when you bend to sin. He is your strength in every challenge.
