Don't buy what the world is selling.

1 John 2:15–17

Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

The world is obsessed with self-gratification. It tells you to chase what feels good... looks good... or what makes you look good. But those things pass away.

Fix your eyes instead on a life that is to come. When temptation passes in front of you, look to the cross.

There is your hope. There is your promise of a life after this one.

You don't need what this world is selling. You're holding on to something far better: treasures that will never fade.

What does the world tell you that you need to be happy or fulfilled?
