God is pleased with you!

Luke 3:21-23

When all the people were being baptized, Jesus was baptized too. And as he was praying, heaven was opened and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: “You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”

There are few events in the Bible where you can see God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit undeniably present. In this show stopping moment, God says of Jesus' work, "This is good!"

At your baptism, God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit were present as God's name was placed on you.

And now what the Father said about Jesus he says about you:
God is pleased with you!

When you remember your baptism, what does it remind you about who you are in God’s eyes?

See, I am doing a new thing! — Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland." Read the context What's the...

2 Cor. 4:4–6 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ. Eph. 5:11–14 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said: “Wake up, sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you.” Read the context There are things about you that you'd rather no one saw: the ugly decisions... shameful sins... But nothing is hidden from...
