He knows you by name.

John 10:14–15

“I am the good shepherd; I know my sheep and my sheep know me— just as the Father knows me and I know the Father—and I lay down my life for the sheep.

"That's Neville... That's Roger.... That's Dorothy..."

The shepherd can name each sheep even thought they look similar.

How well does your Shepherd know you? As well as he knows the Father.

Jesus knows you by name. He knows your fears, doubts, and worries.

And he knows how to comfort you.

Trust the Good Shepherd.

What is comforting in knowing that Jesus knows you specifically by name?

Ezekiel 34:15–16 I myself will tend my sheep and have them lie down, declares the Sovereign Lord. I will search for the lost and bring back the strays. 1 Peter 2:23–25 When they hurled their insults at him, he did not retaliate; when he suffered, he made no threats. Instead, he entrusted himself to him who judges justly. “He himself bore our sins” in his body on the cross, so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness; “by his wounds you have been healed.” For “you were like sheep going astray,” but now you have returned to the Shepherd and Overseer of your souls. Read the context Sheep go astray very easily. In a wide-open field,...
