How bad could it get?

Heb. 11:37–40

They were put to death by stoning; they were sawed in two; they were killed by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated— the world was not worthy of them.

These were all commended for their faith, yet none of them received what had been promised, since God had planned something better for us so that only together with us would they be made perfect.

How bad could life get?

Based on Last Night's Sermon from Hebrews 11...

When is it difficult for you to trust in God’s promises? What comfort do you find in the promise of a heavenly home?

Revelation 7:9–10 After this I looked, and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands. And they cried out in a loud voice: “Salvation belongs to our God, who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb.” Read the context What's the largest crowd you've been a part of: A sold out concert? Romans 3:21–24 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. Read the context The differences between any two people are stark — quirks, appearances,...
