Like he said before.

1 Sam. 12:23–24

As for me, far be it from me that I should sin against the Lord by failing to pray for you. And I will teach you the way that is good and right.
But be sure to fear the Lord and serve him faithfully with all your heart; consider what great things he has done for you.

Samuel's farewell speech sounds like his other words: focussed on the Lord and on his deliverance.

He didn't want the people to forget.

There are many things you can pass on — a house, business, traits. But there is one thing that rises to the top: Confidence in the Lord.

Like Samuel, consider your legacy. Encourage others who you know to serve the Lord.

Why does "faith" often seem like an odd thing to hand down to someone else?
Why is it extremely valuable?
