Not a prediction, a fact.

Genesis 3:14–15

So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this,
“Cursed are you above all livestock
and all wild animals!
You will crawl on your belly
and you will eat dust
all the days of your life.

And I will put enmity
between you and the woman,
and between your offspring and hers;
he will crush your head,
and you will strike his heel.”

The Bengals are taking on a local high school. Who do you think will win?

Sometimes you don't need to see the battle to know the outcome.

Satan looks like he's victorious when Adam & Eve fall into sin... He looks victorious when you fall for his traps...

But you know where the battle actually is — It's at the cross.

God's promise here isn't a prediction, it's a fact — Satan will be crushed.

And with this first promise you can be sure you're on the winning side.

Genesis 3:15 is the first gospel promise. What does it tell you about God's that he offered hope right after the fall?

Matthew 4:1–4 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ Read the context Experts always make it look easy. Psalm 46:7–11 Come and see what the Lord has done, the desolations he has brought on the earth. He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth. He breaks the bow and shatters the spear; he burns the shields with fire. He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; — I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” The Lord Almighty is with us; the God of Jacob is our fortress.
