Psalm 138

Though the Lord is exalted, he looks kindly on the lowly;
though lofty, he sees them from afar.

Though I walk in the midst of trouble,
you preserve my life.

You stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes; — with your right hand you save me.

The Lord will vindicate me;
your love, Lord, endures forever—
do not abandon the works of your hands.

You only get the CEO's attention when you're a big deal. You only talk to a celebrity when you're lucky.

Why should someone as great as the God of all pay attention to you?

Because it's a part of who he is.

He's the God who notices the lowly — even to the point of becoming like them.

In the person of Christ, God stoops low to dwell with humans so that he might bring them to eternity with him.

When have you felt like you weren't worth God's attention? How is Jesus God's counter-argument?
