Why are you looking here?

Luke 24:5b–7

“Why do you look for the living among the dead? He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:
‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ”

They went searching for a dead man—but found an empty tomb.

Do you still expect death in a place of life? You don’t have to live with their expectation. He is not here!

The angel’s question still echoes today. Jesus isn’t in the grave. He is risen, just as he said. Don’t keep looking back at what’s lifeless or hopeless. Look ahead. Life that truly matters—eternal life—is found in that empty tomb.

What does the empty tomb say about God’s power over your greatest fears?

Isaiah 25:6-9 On this mountain the Lord Almighty will prepare — a feast of rich food for all peoples, a banquet of aged wine the best of meats and the finest of wines. The Sovereign Lord will wipe away the tears from all faces; he will remove his people’s disgrace from all the earth. The Lord has spoken. Read the context As the coroner exits the scene of...
