Shine into darkness.

Matthew 5:14–16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

You don’t usually think much about light—until the power goes out. Then even a phone flashlight makes a big difference.

The world around us is filled with darkness: the lies of sin, the weight of guilt, and the pain of loss.

So shine your light into that darkness.
Tell the hurting they have a Savior who loves them. Even a little light can make a big difference.

And when you shine, point to the greater light you see in Jesus.

What would it look like to shine light with your words this week? What would it look like to shine with your actions?

And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away. Read the context Everyone is responsible to someone at work—a manager, team lead, or client. Luke 10:1–3 After this the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of him to every town and place where he was about to go. He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Read the context There was work to do. Towns to visit. People to meet. A message to share. But not enough workers. Jesus looked at the harvest and...
