The one who needed nothing...

2 Cor. 13:11–14

Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice! Strive for full restoration, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.

Greet one another with a holy kiss. All God’s people here send their greetings.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you all.

"I think I'd be happier if I lived on an island by myself…" After a string of interpersonal struggles, do you ever just want to be alone?

Relationships are a blessing and a burden: a dance of personalities, apologies, and joy. But here's the thing: God doesn't need you to experience relationship. He exists in perfect Triune fellowship.

Yet He chose you anyway.

You were never meant for an island. The God who needs nothing chose to be everything for you. Now you reflect that love to others.

How does knowing God chose relationship with you... while needing nothing in return... change how you view difficult relationships in your life?

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Read the context On top of the mountain, I'm certain the disciples were worried about the future. But Jesus had work for them to do: GO....

Psalm 8 You have made them a little lower than the angels and crowned them with glory and honor. You made them rulers over the works of your hands; you put everything under their feet:all flocks and herds, and the animals of the wild, the birds in the sky, and the fish in the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas. Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Read the context The earth has a natural hierarchy — predators, prey. Stronger animals and weaker ones. Yet in a world...
