You can see clearly now.

John 9:35–38

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”

“Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.”

Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.”

Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.

It was the first day the man could see. From darkness to seeing the clouds, trees, and faces of people he loved.

But more would change that day — Jesus would give him the gift of spiritual sight: faith in the Son of God.

Jesus came to open your eyes. He knew the spiritual blindness of your sin. With him your eyes have been opened.

And what do you see? You see a loving savior who's whole purpose is to bring you face-to-face with God eternally.

Based on last night's sermon from John 9...

Why is "spiritual blindness" a good way to describe your life before Jesus? How does faith change the way you see?

I will praise you as long as I live, and in your name I will lift up my hands. I will be fully satisfied as with the richest of foods; with singing lips my mouth will praise you. Rev. 22:1-2 & 17 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb down the middle of the great street of the city.
