A shepherd who knows what's best.

Psalm 23

The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing.
He makes me lie down in green pastures, — he leads me beside quiet waters, he refreshes my soul.
He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake.

Even though I walk through the darkest valley,
I will fear no evil, — for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.

Do you ever just want a break from it all? Wouldn't it be nice to get off the grid for a few days and just relax.

Life drags on us — fears, worries, and guilt weigh you down.

But Jesus offers you refreshment.

Follow your Good Shepherd in his word. He will lead you to the comfort of knowing that this life is in his control.

Rest beside the quiet waters of God's word.

What do you feel like you need the most rest from today? How does Jesus offer you rest?

Acts 3:13–15 The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this. Read the context God's fingerprints were present throughout history: He spoke to the patriarchs — Abraham,...

Deut.18:17–19 The Lord said to me: “What they say is good. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name. Read the context When God wanted to speak to his people, Moses was his mouthpiece. But even the great prophet was a mortal and a sinner. Another prophet was promised. In...

Luke 24:44–48 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.” Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. You are witnesses of...
