Raised up for you.

Acts 3:13–15

The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go. You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you. You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.

God's fingerprints were present throughout history: He spoke to the patriarchs — Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. He led his people Israel.

But when God stepped into history in the form of Jesus, his own did not recognize him. Yet God used his death for your good.

You're now a part of this same story. God reaches out to you through his word and promises.

Know that the author of life was raised to life for you.

What do you find surprising about knowing the story of Jesus is for you?

1 Peter 1:18-20 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your ancestors, but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.
