Like Moses but better.

Deut.18:17–19

The Lord said to me: “What they say is good. I will raise up for them a prophet like you from among their fellow Israelites, and I will put my words in his mouth. He will tell them everything I command him. I myself will call to account anyone who does not listen to my words that the prophet speaks in my name.

When God wanted to speak to his people, Moses was his mouthpiece. But even the great prophet was a mortal and a sinner.

Another prophet was promised.

In the person of Jesus you see God's clearest way of communicating with you. Jesus is God's mercy in human form.

God has told you all you need for salvation — look at Jesus!

What do you learn about God's character through the person of Jesus?
