Exposed by light.

Eph. 5:11–14

Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret.
But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light. This is why it is said:

“Wake up, sleeper,
rise from the dead,
and Christ will shine on you.”

There are things about you that you'd rather no one saw: the ugly decisions... shameful sins...

But nothing is hidden from God.

That's hard to hear — I don't want him to see the things about me I hate the most.

But it's also your greatest comfort:

God has seen even the worst of your heart... and still sent Jesus to be your forgiveness and light.

Don't hide those things in the dark — expose them and bring them to your God who forgives!

What sin do you need to expose to the light of God's word? What does God's word say in response to that specific sin?

Psalm 27:4–5 One thing I ask from the Lord, this only do I seek:that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,to gaze on the beauty of the Lord and to seek him in his temple. John 9:35–38 Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?” “Who is he, sir?” the man asked. “Tell me so that I may believe in him.” Jesus said, “You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you.” Then the man said, “Lord, I believe,” and he worshiped him.
